Dialysis service launched at DHQ hospital Landikotal

The dialysis service has been formally launched for the first time at the District Headquarters Hospital Landikotal in Khyber district where the first patient was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and the dialysis procedure was successfully completed.
A simple opening cremony was held at the hospital where political party leaders,worker,officials and health staff were present. Assistant commissioner Landikotal Inamullah Khan Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, the hospital’s power connection had been disconnected due to a dispute over excessive electricity bills, which affected medical services. However, the issue was resolved following the special intervention of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Religious Affairs and Auqaf, Sahibzada Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsud and Deputy Commissioner Khyber.
Following the resolution, the hospital has been provided with 24-hour uninterrupted electricity, enabling the smooth operation of essential healthcare services, including dialysis.
The newly launched dialysis facility would provide major relief to kidney patients in Landikotal and surrounding areas. Patients would no longer need to travel to Peshawar for dialysis, saving them time and travel expenses while ensuring timely and quality treatment at their doorstep.
Assistant commissioner Landikotal Inamullah Wazir inspect the activation of the dialysis machine. Superintendent Dr Jameel Ahmed briefed him about the dialysis facility, equipment and other arrangements.
It is worth mentioning that provincial minister for Religious Affairs and Auqaf Muhammad Adnan Qadri provided modern healthcare facilities to Landikotal hospital following strong public demand. Local residents appreciated the efforts of the provincial minister and expressed gratitude for the provision of the much-needed facility.
