Drive against tainted glass initiate in Landi Kotal


Campaign against vehicles with black pane and pillion riding was launched by the local police officials aimed to ensure security on the occasion of anti-polio drive to be started from today (yesterday) in sub-division Landi Kotal on Monday.
On the direction of Station House Officer (SHO)Landi Kotal police station Ishrat Shinwari,the Additional SHO Azmat Wali removed tainted glasses of various cars.
Movement of the motorcycles with double riding was also restricted to avoid any untoward incident.
Earlier, the district administration imposed section 144 on eve of the polio campaign.
Additional SHO Azmat Wali said that crackdown against the black glass and pillion riding has been begun and those who are found guilty will be dealt with as per law.
He urged the residents to strictly follow the rules as it has been enforced in the best interest of the masses.
Separately, like elsewhere in the country, a seven days long anti-polio campaign started on Monday (yesterday) across the district Khyber.
According to Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Mansoor Arshad 924 teams have been constituted to meet the target of vaccination of 0.210 million children at their door steps.
