Under the instructions of the Program Manager, Directorate General Health Services, Eye Care Program (Merged Areas), a special team comprising highly qualified doctors and paramedics was sent to Khyber Agency, where three free eye camps were organized in different locations for three days.
During these camps, various eye diseases, including cataract and other ocular conditions, were examined and treated free of cost.
Patients were also provided free eyeglasses (all numbers) and medicine for eye-related diseases free of cost.
Local residents greatly appreciated this initiative and expressed their desire for similar camps to be held again in the future.
Locations where the Free Eye Camps were held included Shakeel Ustad Hujra, Tehsil Bara, RHC, and Shalobar, Tehsil Bara.
A total of 289 patients were examined, including 55 females, 234 males, and 30 children.
Similarly, 120 number of eye glasses were distributed, 194 patients were provided medicine and nine cases of cataract were identified.
