PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani has said that the provincial government has taken all steps to improve the living standard of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people. This he said on Wednesday in a distribution ceremony of Lap top and Cameras among the journalists here at Peshawar Press Club.
Mushtaq Ghani said that the provincial government has taken all steps to provide all facilities to the journalist community in the province, adding that the provincial government increase the annual budget for the journalist as no one government did it in the past.
Journalist should criticized the government but always present a balance report in their stories, adding that it was the media that was watch dog for the government, Ghani added.
He inform that education and health was the priority of the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the promised they had with the people they fulfilled all their promises.
He inform that the government will provide 50% population Sehat Ka Insaf Card as poor people of the province will get free treatment from the near hospitals. He added that Shaheed Journalist family will get Rs.1 million packages on Insurance Scheme while the provincial government also doubles and increase the endowment fund for the journalist.
He inform that despite the federal government not providing the NFC funds but on the limited resources the KP government working on big projects like Swat Motorway and other projects as after the completion of these project the future of the province will rise and people will get all the facilities.
He added that more than one hundred laws were passed from the provincial assembly and merit were on the top priority of the provincial government, adding that zero tolerance for corruption and the PTI two setting ministers were send to jail on the charges of corruption as before no one government take action against their own minister in the history of KP.
He added that the Durrani residential colony for journalist issues will be soon address and work on the progress on Media Enclave City , adding that the provincial government will provide all the facilities for journalist community and will always encourage them to spare their energies for the development of the country.
Peshawar Press Club president Syed Bukhar Shah, Khyber Union of Journalist president Saif Ul Islam Saifi were also present and spoke on the occasion.
