Islamabad: In a significant legal development, Honourable Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani of the Islamabad High Court has summoned the Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) following a petition filed by CSS aspirants seeking a delay in the upcoming CSS 2025 exam. The petition argues that candidates are unable to proceed with the examination without knowing their results for CSS 2024, which are yet to be announced.
During the hearing, which drew a large number of CSS candidates to the courtroom, both the FPSC counsel and the counsel for the CSS aspirants presented their arguments. Justice Kiyani raised critical questions, inquiring why the results of CSS 2024 had not been declared. The FPSC representatives attributed the delay to a heavy workload and claimed that this was the primary reason behind the delay in publishing the results.
Justice Kiyani expressed concern over the fairness of proceeding with the 2025 exam when candidates remain unaware of their results from the previous year. He pointed out that it would be unjust for candidates to sit for a new exam without knowing their past performance. This raised further concerns, and the FPSC counsel remained silent when questioned about the situation.
A large crowd of CSS candidates, both inside and outside the courtroom, gathered to voice their demand for a delay in the 2025 exam. They strongly believe that the announcement of the 2024 results should precede the new exam to ensure fairness and transparency in the process.
