Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) visited the Zonal Office (South), Karachi, where he was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honor upon arrival. During the visit, the IG inspected the Operations Monitoring Centre and reviewed the real-time monitoring system and operational workflow.
Zonal Commander Javed Akbar Riaz briefed the IG, NHMP on the centre’s operational activities and monitoring mechanisms. The IG subsequently visited the newly established Driving License Authority, Karachi, and inspected various sections of the facility, including the documentation counter, testing area, and public waiting area.
He appreciated the efforts of the Zonal Commander Javed Akbar Riaz and his team in establishing a modern and citizen- friendly facility. Taking note of the increasing public demand for driving license services, the IG directed that the capacity of the DLA Facilitation Centre be further enhanced to ensure the smooth, efficient, and timely issuance of NHMP driving licenses to citizens.
The IG expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements and reiterated NHMP’s commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric services to the public.
