Khyber Police organizes Umrah package draw to honor martyrs’ Families

In a historic initiative taken by district Police Officer( DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, Khyber police held an Umrah package draw at the Police Lines to pay heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of its brave personnel.
The event, held under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, honored the memory of 134 police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
These 134 martyrs of Khyber police includong officers and constables who embraced martyrdom while performing duties in extremely challenging conditions. The police department emplyees lost their lives while performing duty during anti-terrorism operations, maintaining law and order in conflict zones, protecting key installations and countering criminal and militant threats in the merged tribal districts.
Their dedication and valor have played a vital role in restoring peace and stability in the region. As part of this gesture, a draw was held for an Umrah package. Two fortunate families of those Shaheed(martyr)Saeed Kareem (Belt No. 3136) and Shaheed(martyrs) Ravil Khan’s family members were selected to perform Umrah, honoring the memory of their loved ones.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Khyber Rai Mazhar Iqbal said “Our martyrs are our pride.
Their sacrifices are eternal and can never be forgotten. Serving their families and easing their lives is both a moral and professional responsibility for us.”
He added that the Umrah package aims to provide spiritual solace to the families of the fallen heroes and that this initiative would continue in the future.
The selected families members would perform Umrah through special funds allocated by the DPO. The families of the martyrs expressed their deep gratitude to DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal and Khyber Police, appreciating the gesture as a symbol of respect, love and continued commitment.
Khyber Police reaffirmed that it would always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs and would continue to prioritize the welfare of their families.
