Minister for elementary and secondary education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Khan Tarakai on Tuesday launched the e-transfer policy for teachers, aiming to ensure merit-based transfers and reduce the need for recommendations and office visits.
“Teachers will apply online for advertised vacancies, and after approval, they will be transferred on merit,” said an official handout.
It added that the process will be monitored by the education minister to ensure transparency. The policy aims to save teachers’ time and allow them to focus on teaching.
District Education Officers will be designated focal persons to supervise the process.
All posts to be advertised on e-transfer portal while on September 10-20, teachers will be able to apply online, the statement said.
Applications to be verified by District Education Officers on September 21-24.
The department will upload final merit on Sept 26 while on September 27 the department will release online transfer of the government-run school teachers.
