KPCTA, Winter sports Federation going to organize Ice Curling Sports Training Camp

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and Winter sports Federation Pakistan is going to organize Ice Curling Sports Training Camp on the 8th of January 2023 in Parwak Upper Chitral.
Where more than fifty athletes will participate in the sports camp. The Director General of Culture and Tourism Authority Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan stated in a briefing that the winter sports activity will be held in a snowcapped area of Parwak Upper Chitral.
The activity is expected to attract tourists and will also provide sporting activities to the sportsmen of those Districts.
The sportsmen of Broghil, Yarkhun Lasht, Laspur and nearby areas of Chitral will be participating in the training.
DG KPCTA also highlighted that the three days camp held by expert Canadian coaches will help participants to learn and adapt essential lifelong skills and exploit the tremendous potential of snow sports in the upper Chitral.
Furthermore, these snow sports activities will attract tourists to the area during winter and the people associated with the tourism sector would get jobs.
On the occasion, the events manager (KPCTA) Haseena Shaukat said that the first phase of the training camp will be held in Chitral, while KPCTA also intends to extend the training program to other areas of the Malakand and Hazara Divisions.
The sportsman will also receive Ice sports kits and other necessary items for the training.
