DG Anti corruption appointment case
LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) while issuing notice to chief secretary and others on the petition against the appointment of Director General (DG) Anti Corruption Rana Abdul Jabbar has summoned reply on next hearing. Justice Farooq Haider of LHC took up for hearing the petition filed by Sheikh Rashid Wednesday. The counsel for the petitioner took the plea Rana Abdul Jabbar who is accused in Model Town case is DG of Anti Corruption at present. The court summoned the detail of Model Town tragedy case on next hearing. The counsel for petitioner took the plea DG Anti Corruption has to conduct inquiry in the cases above 20 grade. Punjab cabinet has to appoint DG Anti Corruption while it has not been done so. The court while issuing notice to chief secretary Punjab and others summoned the reply from them besides adjourning the hearing of the case till July 27. Online
