CCPO Peshawar Abbas Ahsan has said that the role of the Peace Committee for the establishment of peace in the provincial capital Peshawar is obvious.
The city values the role of the United Peace Committee for interfaith harmony. In order to maintain the atmosphere of brotherhood and brotherhood between different religions, we will continue to work with people belonging to all schools of thought to maintain law and order.
The United Peace Committee has played a positive role on Muharram, Chehlum Imam Hussain, Rabi-ul-Awal and Eid, which is less than commendable.
These views were expressed by CCPO Peshawar Abbas Ahsan during a special meeting with a delegation of Muttahida Aman Committee headed by Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madani Advocate at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line. SSP Operations Yasir Afridi was also present on the occasion.

The delegation led by Hussain Ahmad Madani Advocate included Khurshid Ali Akhonzada (Shia), Pandit Hari Lal (Hindu), Iqbal Bhatti Masih (Christian), Inamullah Qadri (Barelvi), Haji Farhad Saraf, Tahir Khan, Javed Ahmad Awan. And another 30-member delegation attended.
On the occasion, Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani Advocate, Chairman, Muttahida Aman Committee, assured the CCPO and SSP Operations that they would continue their cooperation with the police and other government agencies to maintain law and order in the city.
