PESHAWAR: Maingut-Piochar-Maradi road was closed for all types of traffic due to heavy snowfall and landslides in Piochar and its surroundings. Along with this, electricity supply to the area was also suspended due to the damage to the poles. Security forces and the district administration worked on an emergency basis to restore the blocked roads & supply electricity and completely restored the Piochar road for traffic. While the suspended electricity in the area was also immediately restored. After the forecast of severe snowfall by the Meteorological Department, all the relevant organizations are on alert so that the restoration work can be started immediately in the areas affected by the snowfall.
