Adviser to the Prime Minister for Political and Public Affairs Engr Amir Muqam here Sunday said that Pakistan Muslim League N has accepted the Government to save the country from bankruptcy.
Addressing a big public gathering after inaugurating Rahatabad grid station here at Madyan, Amir Muqam said that the poor economic and financial policies of Imran Government have put the country at the verge of bankruptcy.
He said PTI Government had pushed the country to an economic quagmire, resulting of an increase of value of dollar against rupee.
Muqam accused Imran Government for taking record foreign loans in the country’s history and for his lacklustre approach towards repayment of these foreign loans.
The PM aide said that the current price hike and increase in petroleum products was due to wrong economic and fiscal policies of the PTI Government.
“The PTI government had signed agreements with IMF and agreed to withdraw subsidies on the petroleum products. Imran Govt had intentionally delayed withdrawal of subsidies on petroleum and electricity after knowing that the days of his Government was numbered and left economic landmines for the present government.”
Muqam said the PMLN led government was left with no other options but to abide by these agreements in order to prevent the country from bankruptcy.
He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered KP Govt to provide discounted wheat flour to people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but it was not reciprocated well.
He said that flour stock has been increased in utility stores where affordable flour was being provided to people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Muqam said the Rahatabad grid station and new feeders would address problems of low voltage and provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers of the area.
He said people of Madyan, Behrain, Fatehpoor, Shahray and others areas of Swat would be largely benefited.
Muqam said that Pakistan has successfully implemented FATF action plan and on the verge of exiting the grey list.
He congratulated the nation over Pakistan coming out of the FATF’s grey list that was a big achievement of the PMLN led Government.
Muqam said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had made Pakistan’s atomic power while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would make the country an economic power.
He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was working tirelessly for progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Muqam said that Government was well aware of the concerns of people regarding hike in petroleum products and was working day and night to provide relief to price-hike stricken masses.
