Capital City Police during a massive crackdown against criminal elements have arrested 598 accused from different parts of the provincial capital, said a handout.
According to police, the arrested persons were allegedly involved in attempted murders and other serious crimes.
Police claimed that during the operations some proclaimed offenders were also apprehended.
During the ongoing crackdown against criminals in Peshawar police claimed to have arrested around 2826 proclaimed offenders so far this year.
Additionally, police have also arrested 227 facilitators of the criminal persons.
Similarly, national identity cards, bank accounts and property transfers and other documents of proclaimed offenders and other wanted criminals have been blocked.
SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi while expressing his satisfaction over the ongoing crackdown against the criminal elements has said that all possible steps would be taken to eradicate criminal activities in Peshawar.
Kashif Abbasi has directed the police to expedite the ongoing operations against the criminal elements without any discrimination.
