Police bust human trafficking network in Landi Kotal

The local police have claimed to detain a group allegedly involved in human smuggling at Torkham border.
According to the police station, Landi Kotal, they carried out a major operation and exposed a group allegedly involved in illegal border crossing while using forged documents.
During the operation six suspects were arrested and cash amount to Rs.132000 was also recovered from their possession, they added.
The arrested persons were facilitating the Afghan and Pakistani nationals to cross the border by using fake documentation they said and believed that the network had been operating for a considerable period.
Station House Officer (SHO) Landi Kotal police station, Ishrat Shinwari stated that strict crackdown against human smuggling networks will continue.
Police have launched further investigations, and more arrests are expected as efforts continue to dismantle the entire network, he vowed.
He emphasized that no one would be allowed to violate the law or exploit vulnerable individuals for illegal activities.
