ISLAMABAD
PML-N Senator Dr Afnan Ullah Khan on Thursday urged the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to sit down for talks and resolve issues through dialogue, stressing that both parties should concentrate on the upcoming local body elections in Punjab rather than indulging in blame games or using harsh language.
While speaking with a local news channel, Senator Afnanullah expressed his confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) holds a strong position in Punjab, where most of the MPAs belong to his party.
He asserted that the PPP has little to no political presence in the province.
He further advised the PPP to channel its efforts toward preparing for the elections rather than resorting to criticism, adding that constructive political engagement and cooperation between parties are essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring progress in the country.
The senator further stated that while the PPP is an allied party, its leaders should refrain from unnecessary criticism and choose their words carefully in the media. Afnanullah added that maintaining a respectful tone and unity among coalition partners is vital for the stability of the government and the success of democratic processes.
He said that the PML-N is performing effectively not only in Punjab but also at the federal level, where its leadership has regained international recognition due to its sound policies and diplomatic approach. He added that these efforts are paving the way for sustainable national growth and that the country is set to witness further progress under the party’s governance.
