A delegation of the Sikh community called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at Governor House on Thursday and discussed difficulties being faced by community members in dealing with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The delegation was led by Dr Sahib Singh and former provincial vice president of Peoples Youth, Qari Khalid Khan. Satbir Singh, Wazir Singh and Sardar Singh were also part of the delegation.
During the meeting, Dr Sahib Singh apprised the governor of the problems faced by members of the Sikh community in obtaining NADRA-related services and requested measures for their resolution. Kundi took notice of the issue and directed the relevant authorities to take immediate steps to address the complaints.
The governor said the Sikh community’s “love and loyalty” to Pakistan, particularly to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was well known and appreciated. He said resolving the problems faced by minorities was among the priorities of the Governor House and assured the delegation of cooperation in addressing their concerns.
