SSP Operations Peshawar Haroon Rashid Khan on Sunday visited polling stations during the by-election in Tehsil Mathra to inspect security situation.
According to a statement issued here that SSP Operation was accompanied by SP Warsak Division Arshad Khan and other officials.
During the visit, Mr Haroon reviewed the security arrangements and also spoke with police on duty at the stations and inquired about the polling activities and security arrangements.
He said that all proof security arrangements have been made for the by-elections of Tehsil Mathra and said that the Capital City Police had created a special security plan for full-proof security arrangements.
In order to provide security, he said, around 4000 policemen including ladies police have been deployed for the by-election in the tehsil.
“Special responsibilities have been assigned to Quick Response Commandos to deal with any emergency situation,” he added.
