PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has constituted the Provincial Task Force on Human Rights to be chaired by Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A notification issued here said that Secretary Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Department will be Deputy Chairperson while Arif Yousaf, Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Law, Sultan Muhammad Khan (QWP) MPA, Izaz Ul Mulk Afkari (JI) MPA, Secretary, Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Secretary, Establishment Department, Secretary, Administration Department, Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Secretary, Higher Education Department, Secretary, Finance Department, Secretary, Information Department, Secretary, Auqaf, Hajj and Religious Affairs Department, Secretary, Industries Department, Director Information and Director Human Rights, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be its members.
Accountability of police continues; two SHOs suspended on misuse of power
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani Fridaysuspended two SHOs on charges of misuse of powers and bad reputation with immediate effect and further ordered departmental inquiry against them.
According to details a citizen of Peshawar through SMS submitted a complaint with IGP regarding misuse of powers by SHO Pahari pura Peshawar Safdar Khan while an another citizen of Chitral complained about the bad reputation and relations with criminals of SHO Ayun Chitral Shamsher Elahi.
The IGP checked both the complaints through concerned senior police officers who in their separate report confirmed the allegations based on facts and recommended strict action against them.
The IGP in light of the inquiry reports of the senior police officers suspended both i.e SHO Pahari pura Peshawar Safdar Khan and SHO Ayun Chitral Shamsher Elahi with immediate effect and further ordered departmental inquiry against them for major punishment.
