165 corona patients under treatment in Peshawar’s hospitals: Health Official

As many 165 corona patients are under treatment in three major Peshawar’s hospitals – Khyber Teaching Hospital, Lady Reading Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex Hospital, health department officials told media men here on Thursday.
He said 122 beds are allotted for corona patients in Khyber Teaching Hospital and 42 patients infected with corona are being treated. He said Khyber Teaching Hospital has 28 ventilators reserved for corona patients and currently nine patients of Corona are in intensive care and on ventilators.
The health official said that 18 patients infected with Corona are undergoing treatment at HDU with
31 beds are being allotted for Low Amount of Oxygen patients and currently 15 patients are undergoing treatment on them. He disclosed that 5 corona patients have been admitted in the last 24 hours with 80 beds allotted for Corona in Khyber Teaching Hospital are vacant.
About the position of the corona patients in Lady Reading Hospital, he said, the number of coronavirus patients in LRH has risen to 71 with 400 beds have been allotted for corona patients in LRH. He said that 4 patients are admitted in ICU and in the last 24 hours, 19 new patients have been admitted.
However, in Hayatabad Medical Complex, 60 beds and 20 ventilators allotted for coronavirus patients and 51 patients infected with coronavirus are being treated with 10 other coronavirus patients are being treated on ventilator.
He informed that in the last 24 hours, 15 more patients infected with coronavirus have been admitted. The officials said that Corona cases intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the rates of the corona cases had gone up to 11.6 percent.
He said that the highest rate recorded in Kohat was 41% in the last 24 hours, Corona’s daily rate is 24% in Peshawar and 27% in Mardan. He also advised the people to follow corona SOPs issued by the provincial government, wear masks, and avoid public places.
