LAHORE, (INP): Director General (DG) Food Authority Noor-ul-Ameen Mengal has said that ghutka root cause of cancer therefore couldn’t be allowed at any condition.
In a statement on Sunday, DG Food Authority Noor-ul-Mengal said that strict action was being taken against the elements involved in manufacturing ghutka, its transportation and sale.
He said that so far hundreds of crackdowns have been launched in various cities of Punjab.
Noor-ul-Amin Mengal said that during recent operations against ghuta dealers in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan and other cities of the province, 29000 kilogram ghutka was seized and 43 godowns were sealed.
He said that soon illegal sale of ghutka across the Punjab province will be halted to prevent the spread of cancer.
