PESHAWAR
A week long Seerah Conference of Prime Foundation constituent institutions Peshawar Medical College, Peshawar Dental College and Rufaidah Nursing College ended with religious fervor and devotion.
Dr Rashid Ahmad, Director Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center, University of Peshawar graced the concluding ceremony as chief guest.
He distributed prizes, shields and certificates among the organizers and the winning students of Qirat, Naat, Speeches, Essays and Quiz competitions.
He urged the students to focus on good companionship and stay away from the distracting and spoiling elements on the cellphone, in the movies and on social media.
The Prophet of Islam has told that a young person of character shall be among the seven categories of people who will be under shadows of the divine throne on doomsday.
Male and female students from various classes shared video-clips based on key messages from holy Qur’an and Ahadith and the impact they had on their understanding and development.
Prof Najibul Haq, Adviser Health & Education of PF thanked all the participants and stressed upon the faculty and students the need to evaluate and relate the contemporary thought-lines in the light of Seerah to maximize their benefit and eliminate or minimize their secularizing impact. For example, empathy in the saying of the Prophet defined as liking for your brother what you like for yourself.
