Abbottabad
Commissioner Hazara Division, Mr. Fayaz Ali Shah, has emphasized that the core purpose of holding Khuli Kacheris (open public forums) is to resolve citizens’ problems at their doorstep. He stated that addressing public issues is a top priority of the provincial government’s people-centric agenda, and directed all heads of concerned departments to resolve issues raised during these forums on a priority basis, strictly in accordance with the law.
The Commissioner expressed these views while addressing a general Khuli Kacheri held in Patan, District Lower Kohistan. A large number of citizens, representatives of the Mutahida Kohistan Jirga, and officers from WAPDA and various district departments were present at the event.
During the session, members of the public and the Mutahida Kohistan Jirga particularly voiced concerns regarding the non-implementation of agreements made with WAPDA. In response, the Commissioner assured that WAPDA had provided timelines for the completion of various projects under these agreements. To review progress, a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Lower Kohistan will be held within two days, where WAPDA will present updates on each project. Furthermore, monthly review meetings will be conducted under the Commissioner’s chairmanship to ensure continued oversight.
