PESHAWAR: The Chief Manager, State Bank of Pakistan, Banking Services Corporation Peshawar, Ishtiaq Ahmad planted a tree in office premises in line with the nation-wide tree plantation campaign “Clean and Green Pakistan.” Addressing the event, the Head of the State Bank Peshawar said, “Planting trees is a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its reward continues even after the death of the person who plants it. Trees are the guarantor of human survival on the planet which provides oxygen as well as prohibits negative impact of climate change.”“Unfortunately, Pakistan is currently ranked fifth among the countries that are most vulnerable to climate change and facing dangerous environmental impacts.
