Special Assistant to Chief Minister KP for Information Barrister Saif assured that the incumbent provincial government will strive hard to address issues being faced by the media persons of the merged tribal district and will provide all facilities being enjoyed by the journalist community in other parts of the country.
The views he expressed while talking to a three members delegation of Landi Kotal press club led by its President Mehrab Afridi who called on him in his office last day.
He said that their government is well aware of the problems of the tribal journalists and it will materialize promises made with them and efforts are being carried out to facilitate them in their respective areas.
Barrister Saif urged the media persons to have close vigilance and discourage those elements in their lines that sympathize with one political party or another and adopt necessary measures to curtain fake news.
“The media should play its due role by distributing true news,” he added.
Earlier, the visiting journalists apprised the Special Assistant to Chief Minister KP for Information Barrister Saif of the matter of issuing funds for construction of Landi Kotal press club building.
