KP govt approves 114 paid house job slots with Rs103.4m allocation

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved 114 stipendary house job slots in public sector medical institutions across the province, along with a financial allocation of Rs103.421 million, Provincial Minister for Health Khaliq Ur Rehman announced on Tuesday.
According to a handout issued here, the move is aimed at strengthening medical education and providing financial support to young doctors during their training period.
Under the approved plan, 30 paid house job slots have been allocated to KMU Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Kohat, 60 to Saidu College of Dentistry Swat, and 24 to Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals Swat.
Mr Rehman said the provincial government remains committed to expanding training opportunities for medical graduates and strengthening the healthcare workforce in K-P.
“The approval of these paid house job slots will not only provide financial assistance to house officers but will also improve the quality of clinical training and contribute to better service delivery in public sector teaching hospitals,” he said.
The minister directed the relevant authorities to complete the recruitment process for the approved slots at the earliest, strictly on merit and in accordance with prescribed rules, so that eligible graduates can benefit without delay.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in medical education and undertaking reforms to further improve the health sector in the province.
