LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) while declaring the order of detention of PTI workers null and void has ordered to release PTI workers. The LHC while accepting the plea against illegal detention of PTI 13 workers has nullified the orders of detention of the workers issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nankana. Petition filed by Sohail Manzoor came up for hearing before Justice Farooq Haider. Ahad Awan counsel for the petitioner took the plea that D C Nankana while misusing law and his powers on November 21 had issued orders for illegal detention of 13 political workers. The petition further said such detention of political workers is not only against the law but also is violation of basic human rights. The state counsel told the court detention order was issued for fear of anti government campaign. The court while expressing dissatisfaction over it revoked all the orders of detention and ordered to release the PTI workers. ONLINE
