Mostly cloudy skies are expected in Karachi during the next three days, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms likely at some places, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in a statement on Sunday. The weather department said the maximum temperature in the city is expected to remain between 31 degrees Celsius and 33°C today. Sea breezes from the southwest were blowing at a speed of 11 kilometres per hour, the department said. Humid weather and drizzle during the morning and night hours are expected in Karachi on Monday and Tuesday, it added.
The latest forecast comes as the pronounced low-pressure area over Rajasthan has weakened further and become a low-pressure area, according to the PMD.
Monsoon currents coming from the Arabian Sea are affecting most parts of the country, the department said.
