ISLAMABAD : PPP has opposed reopening of Taunsa Panjnad Link Canal (TPLC) and demanded of IRSA to withdraw its decision.
PPP vice president Sherry Rehman has said PTI government has reopened TPLC. 3 provinces opposed it in the meeting of IRSA as Sindh is already facing water shortage.
She held depriving Sindh of its water share is illegal and unconstitutional. Yazidi sarkar is now stopping water flow to Sindh. Sindh agriculture sector contributes 23 percent share to Pakistani GDP.
The present regime has put at stake not only agriculture economy but also life and economy of countless cultivators, she claimed.
IRSA will have to withdraw its decision of reopening TPCL and PPP rejected IRSA decision, she announced.
