LAHORE (DNA): Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVTA) is sending a group of 38 skilled manpower to Malaysia. Visas and appointment letters have been issued. This manpower will be given Rs. 42,000 p.m. salary alongwith free medical, residence, food and transport facilities. This was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while talking on the occasion of visa distribution ceremony for TEVTA graduates going to Malaysia here Tuesday at TEVTA Secretariat.
Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, TEVTA Officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Amir Aziz, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Umer Farooq, Uzma Nadia, Ayesha Qazi, Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Umber Chattha and TEVTA trained manpower were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing the ceremony said that Rs. 3000 million remittances sent by Overseas Pakistanis have been decreased at present. TEVTA while sending 10,000 trained manpower abroad will meet the deficiency of this foreign exchange. 27 trained youth of TEVTA Institutes has already been sent to Malaysia after getting their visas as a pilot project. These TEVTA graduates are being sent to get jobs in Fitter, Aluminum fabricator and construction sectors. Now, they are successfully working in the respective fields abroad.
Chairperson TEVTA further said we are grateful to ACOR Manpower Resources for a project of Petronas who are providing jobs to our pass outs in Malaysia. He also said that many other organizations of Middle East are also contacting TEVTA to get the services of trained youth but negotiations are continued to provide them handsome salary package. This coordination will be beneficial in providing jobs to TEVTA Graduates so that they will prove their abilities in foreign countries.
