Sevendays Winter Feast 2nd edition 2024 under the patronage of Gilgit Baltistan is kick started at khalti frozen lake District Ghizer GB from 22nd January 2024.
Three Days Winter sports event covers mainstream winter sports games including Ice hockey Curling Speed race and traditional winter sports of Gilgit Baltistan where 20 teams from across GB are participating in the event.
The concept of Sevendays has been derived from the initial seven days of birth of snow leopard which are considered as its observation period to learn how to servive in extreme cold.furhermore the snow leopard has an important role in over all food chain of mountains eco system .Thus the event has also a major focus on the environment and Climate change.
The event also includes the exhibition of cultural stalls ,musical events ,fireworks, and more.Thousands of people from all walks of life witnessed the winter sports event The purpose of the event is to promote winter tourism potential of Gilgit Baltistan through and tourism promotion events so as the GB may be branded as four season tourism hub globally .
